Make a classic real Root Beer Float using Thomas Jefferson's Vanilla Ice Cream recipe. Jefferson probably first tasted ice cream while traveling in France. He brought home a recipe for it, which is now in the Library of Congress and is one of only ten recipes in his handwriting that still exists today.
