In the 18th century, small tables of this type were used to hold a coffee urn. Based on a piece in Colonial Williamsburg's collection, the pullout slide held a cup as the coffee was poured. Made of mahogany with brass knob, it makes a useful chair-side or bedside table with its handy x-shaped lower shelf. 26 ¾"h x 11 ¾" square. Measures slightly wider at the bottom - 12 3/4".
