In 1807, President Jefferson recorded planting one of the oval flower beds at Monticello with double hyacinths in four colors—pink, yellow, white, and blue. Hyacinths were very popular in the 18th century, for both their fragrance and range of colors. More than 2000 distinct varieties were being produced by Dutch growers in the mid-1700s. ‘Delft Blue’ was first introduced in 1944.

5 bulbs per bag.
