Thomas Jefferson planted “poppies” and “lesser poppies” as early as 1767 while still living at Shadwell, his birthsite.  Our Corn Poppy notecard was created from an original oil painting by Tim O’Kane, a local Virginia artist.  Blank inside, information about the plant is on the back of the card.
