This reproduction mirror is based on Jefferson’s description of an oval example he acquired in France for use by his daughter Martha Randolph. Jefferson gave his daughter an oval mirror, a marble top commode or chest of drawers, and a French bedstead, the foundation of the furniture she would need when she eventually wed. This oval mirror hangs in Martha Randolph’s room at Monticello.

Using traditional 18th century production techniques the frame is made from handcrafted solid wood. A gold gilded metal finish with a red rub is then applied. Made in the U.S.A. 36”h x 24”w.
