Harvested from the gardens at Monticello. Tassel Flower, a native of the Far East introduced into England in 1799, bears flame-colored, button-like flowers on slender stems in summer. Also called Irish Poet and Flora’s Paintbrush, this fast-growing, self-seeding annual is an attractive addition to the flower border and makes a lovely cut flower.

Direct sow seeds outdoors after the last spring frost. Alternatively, start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost, then harden off and transplant outdoors after last frost. Approximately 85-90 seeds per packet.
