This North American wildflower occurs throughout Missouri and Kansas, and south to Texas and Arkansas. An airy, long-lived perennial, this unusual mallow can be used as an accent for the back of a border. The plant's habit of sending bloom stalks high above the foliage would compliment lower growing perennials with fine textured leaves. As noted in Gray's Field, Forest, and Garden Botany (1868), plants of the genus Callirhoe have been used in choice American gardens since at least the mid-nineteenth century.
This plant will begin shipping mid April 2014. zone5,zone6,zone7,zone8,zone9
