Snapdragons are hardy annuals that bloom throughout the summer. In 1767 Jefferson observed it blooming at Shadwell, his childhood home, and four years later, he listed this native of southern Europe among the hardy flowers to be planted in a "shrubbery" at Monticello.

The seeds in this packet are the species or wild form of Snapdragon. Plants grow about two to three feet and bear deep wine-red blossoms. For best results, sow the tiny seeds indoors during late winter and transplant into the garden by early spring. Seeds planted directly in the ground should be sown in a sunny location and covered lightly with fine soil.

Approximately 75-80 seeds per pack.
